Overview of providers

Pangea has curated a set of world-class malware scanning providers for you to use with the File Scan API. You can choose a default provider in the File Scan Settings, which are found in the Settings section under File Scan in the Pangea Console .

You can also explicitly specify which provider to use via the provider parameter in any call to the File Scan API.

CrowdStrike

Powered by the CrowdStrike Security Cloud and world-class artificial intelligence (AI), the CrowdStrike Falcon platform leverages real-time indicators of attack, threat intelligence, evolving adversary tradecraft and enriched telemetry from across the enterprise to deliver hyper-accurate detections. CrowdStrike's File Analyzer is purpose-built for accuracy and is trained by CrowdStrike's massive corpus of malware samples to identify both known and zero-day malware.

The CrowdStrike Falcon® platform is AI-powered and takes full advantage of the CrowdStrike Security Cloud to reduce high-cost false positives and maximize detection efficacy to stop breaches.

ReversingLabs

Provider Metrics: Data from software vendors and diverse malware sources with +25 billion samples that are updated daily.

ReversingLabs Cloud Deep Scan File Analysis service detects malicious content and threats using the ReversingLabs industry-leading static analysis engine integrated with an extensive file reputation source database. The service removes all packing, obfuscation, and protection artifacts from binaries to extract all internal objects with their metadata. The metadata provides critical information, often not available from other tools, for determining the intent and capabilities of the sample.

Classification is based on ReversingLabs unique static analysis technology combined with ReversingLabs world-class goodware and malware repository. Files are classified as goodware, malware, or suspicious with a risk score that indicates the threat level, or they are unknown.
