Create a project
Projects are used to group users and service configurations. A project will likely have a one-to-one mapping between it and the applications you build leveraging Pangea services.
The first project is created as part of the initial sign-up flow. Additional projects can be created by clicking the project selector to the right of the Pangea logo and then clicking Create new project
.
- Project Name
- The project name is used to represent the project in Pangea. This can be changed later if required.
- Geographical Region
- This is the geo in which the Pangea project should be deployed (e.g. US, EU). This will dictate which locations are available. The geographical region is an important consideration for compliance and data residency requirements.
- Location
- This will determine the specific location within the geo in which the project will be deployed. It is recommended to choose the location closest to where you will deploy the application leveraging Pangea services.
note
Geographical Region and Location cannot be changed once the project has been created. Carefully consider your use case, and ensure these settings meet the performance and compliance requirements required for the project.
