General

The General page provides access to the global settings of AuthZ for your project.

Reset Authorization Schema

Resetting the authorization schema removes all user-defined roles, relationships, resources, rules and tuples. This is a destructive act and cannot be undone.

There are three options for resetting the authorization schema:

  • Blank Schema - A nearly blank schema, with just a user subject pre-populated.
  • File Drive - An example file system schema containing users, user groups, folder, and file resource types, and access to share links. It also contains several roles for file administration, such as file editor, file owner, and file reader.
  • Application Dashboard - An example schema similar to what might be found on SaaS platforms such as Twilio or Salesforce that is designed to manage administrator and user access to a specific feature or feature set.

To reset the authorization schema:

  1. Navigate to Authz >> General.
  2. Click the Reset button within the Reset Authorization Schema section.
  3. A modal displays stating that all Roles, Resource Types, Relationships, Rules and Tuples will be reset. Select the desired authorization schema and click Reset.
  4. A modal displays requesting confirmation of the reset. Click Confirm.

Activity Log (additional cost)

The Activity Log settings page enables users to view the settings being used to log AuthZ activity. This is enabled by default, but can be disabled.

Log Decision Activities

The Log Decision Activities settings in AuthZ allows you to set whether or not to write decision activities to the audit log. When enabled, both Allowed Check calls and Denied Check calls are written to the log. These checks can be viewed on the Activity Log page.
